This EP was actually a commissioned work that turned into something else. It was a combination of waiting for the right opportunity and doing a few smaller things to back away from the void of immensity.

'Runaway Harps' is folded into itself, sort of oriented to a conceptual threshold where textures became filled with their own ghosts. It was originally released last year by 6 Plusten Records. 'Petals' is based upon 'Suntalk' (lifted from 'Garlands', 2019, out on Sounds et al), while I was working with solo instruments and stitching them together with sample beds.

Both tracks speak to a liminal space between moments of cathartic anxiety and a calm and introverted state of mind. They also operate as an examination of contorting samples so they would be more flexible and expressive than they are given to you out of the box.
