Ever since my earliest memories, the things that have resonated with me have been the ones that have overwhelmed me in a sensory way. I was recording voices and working with that as liquid and sculptural content. For this album, I had no expectations: it was like an empty mind, like those third-eye kind of zones. It was a lot of splicing and mixing too. After all, 'The Memory Fog' navigates harmonies and digitally laminated melodies through distorted and harsh waves of sound. But I like to think of it as moving beyond the spectrum of seeing and hearing.
